We had a fun and busy week this past week.We celebrated 2 birthdays, had a new niece born, and had a super fun time with my sister's family, at the ASU game last night! We love spending time with our family!

Chad's 30th Birthday weekend

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Chad's 30th birthday .....except for the awful heat and me catching a cold:( On Friday, I set us up at a really nice resort in Paradise Valley. We ate at Oregano's for dinner before we headed to the resort. It was so nice to relax and hang out, just the two of us. We enjoyed sleeping in the next morning, and then we went to Ted's Hot Dogs for lunch(one of Chad's favorites). A special thanks to Jill for watching our kids, and taking such good care of them while we were away! When we got home we rested for a little bit and then we went to Macaroni Grill with all of Chad's family. After dinner we went back to his parents for cake and ice cream, and were surprised to see a lot of our friends there. Thank you all for being there it meant a lot to Chad and I,and it was so great to see everyone! Happy Birthday Chad!

Carson

I feel like I haven't done a post on Carson for awhile! I am soooo in love with this little boy! He is very naughty at times, but equally sweet at the same time! I can't believe how fast he is growing up! He is so much fun and I just love his little personality!

Carson loves to help me clean around the house. His favorite thing to do is when I am in the kitchen cooking, putting away groceries, loading or unloading a dishwasher is to drag his little chair into the kitchen and stands up on it and tries to help me with whatever I'm doing.

We were driving to swim lessons, and out of the blue this was our converstion.
Ella: "Mama, when I get bigger I'm going to marry daddy because he's my best friend!"
Me: "Best friends do get married,daddy and I are best friends and we are married."
Ella: "Don't worry mama, you can dance with Carson at our wedding!"
How cute is that!

We were driving home, and Ella was upset with me for not letting her swim(it was raining) and the whole way home she was so grumpy and mad at me:(.When we got home we walked in the door and Ella goes "Friends?"and shook my hand. Hilarious!

7/2/09
Carson and I were looking through a photo album I made with pictures of our family, Jesus, cousins, grandpas, grandmas etc. and I was saying the names of the people in the picture and he was repeating them back to me. When we flipped to the picture of Jesus, he took the book from me right away and gave the picture of Jesus a huge kiss, and had a huge smile on his face! So Precious!

Ella was watching a movie on our bed before she went to bed, and when the movie was over I said "Ok, it's time for you to go to bed!" She lays back down and says"No, I think I will retire right here." It was so funny, I have know idea where she comes up with this stuff:)

I put Carson down for bed, and thought he went right down. Chad and I were laying on our bed watching tv, and all of the sudden we hear Carson through the monitor singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" to himself. Chad usually sings that to him before bed. It was sooooo sweet. I wish their was a record button on the monitor. He sang himself to sleep:):)-19 months old

Carson says first "love you" when daddy was leaving for work this morning.

I was talking to Ella about her newborn baby cousin, and said do you want momma to have a baby like Payton someday(not anytime soon:) and she goes "No, I want to keep Carson!"

8/24/09
Chad and I were talking to Ella about her upcoming birthday, and how we couldn't believe she is going to be 4 years old soon. Chad told her "You are growing up way too fast", she goes"It's ok daddy we can still be best friends when I get bigger." Daddy's little girl for sure:)

Chad was gone and Ella asked "Where's Daddy?" I said "He's at Uncle Ryan's watching a football game." She says with a big sigh shaking her head" Boys are so hard."

10/29/09
It was a really cold night, so we had the heater turned on in the car. Ella goes"Mama, I'm burning up It must be the swine flu."

11/24/09
Ella and I were watching "So You Think You Can Dance", and a cute guy was dancing and Ella goes "Oh he looks so good and nice.... He looks just like Daddy did on his mission."

01/02/10
Ella wakes up about 4 times in the night. When I ask her why she can't sleep she says"I am just way too excited for Disneyland to sleep, my eyes just will not shut!"

Carson sees a picture of the Disneyland Castle on the computer and yells "Temple"! :)

I told Ella she wasn't being very nice, and she says"Mama, you are going to regret saying that tomorrow."

When we got home after running errands Ella lets out a big sigh and says "Oh Home Sweet Home"

Carson: "Mama get up!"
Me: "why Carson?"
Carson: "I want chocolate!"

me: "Let's go where?"
Carson: "ummm Grammies!"

Ella says prayer at dinner
Says thankful for flowers, plants, and Jesus when he was a baby.

Ella calls Chad after he leaves for work. She says"Daddy, I have to tell you a secret...You have my heart". :)

8/16/10
After returning home after a long busy day...Ella says: "I would just like 5 minutes alone, I have been with people all day."
