Father's Day

I feel so very blessed to be surrounded by the best fathers in the whole world. I can't express how much I love each one of them. I am so proud to be my daddy's daughter. Everyone just loves my dad. He is the most generous, loving, nicest, humbliest, kindest, honest etc. etc. person I have ever known in my life( besides my mom and in-laws of course:)) Not only do I have a GREAT father, but my father in law is just as wonderful! I just feel so truly blessed, and I am so happy that my children have the two best grandpas in the world. I am also so thankful to have Chad as the father to my children! He is so so so patient with them, and is always thinking about their best interest and always coming up with the funnest games to play with them. They absolutely adore him. Thanks Chad, for working so hard to provide for us! Hope all the fathers in my life, have a wonderful father's day today! You all mean so much to us!!! We love you!

The sweet things they say.....

This past Sunday, Ella learned about feelings in her sunbeam class. I usually put her handout on the fridge for the week. Today she was looking at the picture and says"Mama, when I look at the orange face in this picture, I think about you because you are always happy and you make me happy." I was almost in tears, I was quite shocked that she didn't say I remind her of the green angry face:) It just shows me that she forgives the times I am not always nice and happy:). I am glad that she still thinks more of me being happy than angry:). Then she says "The pink face reminds me of Grammie and Grandma Moody because they are always surprising me!":) It was just soooo cute!

Swim Lessons

Ella had her first swim lessons of the summer yesterday, and her first lessons without mommy in the pool! She did very well considering last week she kept saying she wasn't going until she was 5, and wasn't going without floaties and a lifejacket:). She loved going with her good buddy Daniel. They have done swim lessons together for the last 4 summers, since they were 6 months old. We were so glad we were able to do a session with them before they move next month. Oh how we will miss them!:(
Ella and the cute Hulse boys

Ella ready to be dunked under water, she was dreading this! The poor teacher was practically choked from Ella holding on to her neck so tight!

Way to go Ella!:)

What a day.....already!

It has been a little nuts around our house this morning and it's only 10:30! It started with Carson up at 6:00, that may not sound so early to some people, but he usually sleeps until 8:30. Since he woke up he was ready for the day! The first thing he did was spill his entire sippy cup of apple juice all over the floor, on purpose. Then he had the worst blowout....I'm talking all the way up the back, sick! Then I run out to grab something in the garage and he manages to lock me out,(what 17 month old knows how to lock doors?) and I'm screaming to Ella to unlock the door which she totally knows how to do, and she screams" I don't know how"! I think the two of them were kind of enjoying locking mommy out.FREEDOM to do all the things they are not supposed to do! I had no cell phone so all I could do was keep pounding on the door screaming! After about 20 minutes Ella comes running out the front door to save me:) Then once we all calmed down and the kids were playing"nicely" Carson apparently hadn't had enough and whacks Ella in the head with a very large toy, which makes Ella hysterical for about 20 minutes. We had plans to go see a movie at 9:45 but there was no way I was going to attempt it! Thanks to my sweet friend who called at just the right time, and said she would take Ella to the movie! Which was great because she was really excited and I promised her I would take her! Thanks Melody, You rock!I just have to stop take a deep breath and think about the song on my blog...It won't be like this for long. I know I will miss this someday when they are all grown up. It's a good thing they are so cute:)!Better wrap this up, Carson is being way too quiet which probably means he is into something else he shouldn't be. Love my little skunks sooo much!

This picture was taken one morning when they rolled out of bed. Ella said "Hurry mom....Carson and I look so cute sitting together, go get your camera and take a picture!" Glad I did:)
